Emiko Stock is an anthropologist based in Cambodia since 2000.
Her PhD dissertation started in 2005 with Nanterre - Paris 10 University, questions the identity notion through the exemple of social organisation(s) of Chams in Cambodia. 
Her Master in Khmer Language and Civilisation was obtained in Paris INALCO (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisation), with a memoire thesis entitled ''About Social Diversity Among Chams in Cambodia: Identity Representations through Protective Magical Diagrams''. 
In Cambodia she has been involved with various institutions both as an academic and consultant as well as translator (Center for Khmer Studies, Reyum, Royal University (Phnom Penh & Fine Arts), UNESCO, WHO...).
She is currently Associate Research Director at Indochina Research Ltd, Phnom Penh.


Other interests have been developped by Emiko in the field of Visual Anthropology and the use of visual material (photography & video) in her research.
